HL7 Immunization User Group Resources for the IIS Community
Key HL7 Implementation Guide Resources:
IIS receive and share data on patients using HL7, a nationally recognized standard for electronic data exchange between systems housing health care data. The HL7 standard defines a syntax (grammar) and describes a standard vocabulary for formulating messages that carry the health information. Useful HL7 resources include HL7 Version 2.5.1 Implementation Guide for Immunization Messaging, Release 1.5 (published October 2014) and the Addendum (published July 2015).
