Standards & Interoperability Steering Committee (SISC)
The SISC provides technical support and guidance to interoperability efforts.
What
The SISC provides technical support and guidance to interoperability efforts of AIRA members and the immunization information system (IIS) community. The committee acts as a liaison between national organizations involved with interoperability, such as the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and others, and serves as a technical resource for AIRA members and the IIS community. See the SISC Charter for more information about this committee.
Who
The SISC includes experts from state and city IIS, IIS implementers, electronic health record vendors, and CDC. The SISC chairs are Mary Woinarowicz (North Dakota Department of Health) and Craig Newman (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

When
The SISC meets the second Wednesday of every month from 1 to 2 p.m. ET (10 to 11 a.m. PT). Meetings are also listed on AIRA’s events calendar.
